Grace-filled Grief led by Martha Tate

Grace Filled Grieving

Led by Martha Tate, LCSW

September 17- October 22

6-7:30PM in the Hospitality Suite

Peachtree Road United Methodist Church

Grief is both personal and universal.

This six-week support group is designed to be a safe space for people to travel together through the rocky terrain of grief. The intent is to provide a safe place in which people can experience social/emotional support through sharing their personal stories and learn more about the journey of grief.

The soft structure of the group will be:

·       Beginning and ending with meditative prayer to calm the mind and soothe the spirit

·       Experience social and emotional support through sharing of personal stories

·       Teaching on the mind-body-spirit aspects of grief from spiritual, psychological, mind/body literature

It is my hope to offer a group in which each person might come to glimpse grief in the words of Paula D’Arcy as: “An invitation that intimates that something will guide us as we find our way through the dark. The existence of something both deeper and greater than loss holds the promise that pain is not an end but a doorway.”

If you know of anyone who might benefit from this group, please pass the word along. Registration will be offered through PRUMC. prumc.org
