Scholarship

Since 2020, The One Lamb ministry has focused on providing education, connection, and support in the area of mental health and addiction. The ministry, however, started as a financial fund for a struggling teen. 

Because of generous supporters of this ministry, we are able to return to the genesis of this work by providing a love offering of financial assistance to approved applicants who seek relief for mental health and addiction treatment costs. 

Scholarships will be determined by the current balance of our fund and from a thorough review of the application. At this time, current members of Peachtree Road United Methodist members may apply. See application below for further details.

Shining Star Application for Children's Mental Health Services

In July 2024, the One Lamb Initiative lost our our beloved member Gayle Cummings. She was a cherished teacher, leader, friend, champion and mother, known for her inspiring spirit, talent, and boundless generosity. Her passion for helping under-resourced children was a defining characteristic, and she often spoke of her years as a teacher as among the most fulfilling of her life. As a mother and grandmother, she embraced every moment with the children in her family.

In honor of Gayle's deep love and dedication to children, a unique scholarship is being created through the One Lamb Mental Health Initiative of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The scholarship will be named The Gayle Cummings Shining Star Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be given to underserved chidren with mental health concerns who cannot afford the necessary treatment/counseling.
