Reverend Mace Hall talks with Kenya Phillips about her diagnosis and struggles with bi-polar, how she got through treatment realizing  her vocation as a NAMI trainer, Life Coach and Spoken Word Artist. The poem "Black Is Black"  was written by her illuminating the fragility experienced by all of humanity.:

Black is Black,

Black is up ecstasy

Black is my soul

Black surrounds me

Black unfolds

 Lost I was once

Like a bird and a fleet

Lost amongst others

Looking to be free

Time has come

Anew day is here.

All triumphs of past

Are now at end

Colors are colors

Closed eyes cannot see c

Clear the darkened clouds c

Cool winds are soon to come

Keep in mind

Kindness as a part k

Kept deep within the one who

Knows their own heart.
